OKay... I'm sitting here for the last time. Working on 6 objects.. in 9 colours.. each object having about 9 scripts each. 414 scripts in total. A full "product line".

My partner comes back, and asks me to change the permissions.

54 objects.. that I can handle. but unlocking the permissions on 414 scripts....

is there ANY way to do this with a script? because I am really getting sick of "left click, right click, select edit, left click script, right click, open permissions window, click checkbox, close window.. next prim."

My hand hurts. I really need some sort of "inherit permissions from model" or some such script.

Nothing you can do right now. It could be done as a client plugin or libSL bot. Pachinko was the same way. It has something like 20 scripts in it, not all easy to get to.

:\ know how ya feel!! only shortcut is to shift- or control-select all the objects/scripts in the 'content' tab at once, then control-click 'props' to get a multi-paned window... that's a -little- faster than open/close one at a time...

yeah that wouldn't have helped me much (cause it was one script per prim in the linkset)... I will have to try that trick though, just to see what it can do.

Ended up being over 850 scripts. in 108 objects. not counting the 60 vendor scripts, or the 168 descriptions and prim names I had to set manually. GAH.

Thanks be to Tai... the dollar store had both Ibuprofen and Acetomeniphen.. so here's hoping I can use my hand tomorrow.

Dang carpal tunnel anyways.

From now on, I'm using networked vendors.

omg winter - ohhhh, do try to take it easy!!:) if your hand's not too bad, stressballs and those springy hand exercisors help me a little...:) and ohhh... i wish i had my own vendors polished up enough for sale hehe... maybe you'd find those useful too...

(i'd just spent many moons making my own networkable vendor; couldn't find one that i liked for the price... i dunno that mine are that robust yet; gridlag lately sometimes causes a spontaneous shutdown of a slave, dunno why yet...)

anyhow hon, if maybe you'd like to check them out later, give me a call!:)
