Invisibility Prim for prims?

What I need is a script that I can put intoa prim that will make that prim and the parts of those it is linked with which intersect it invisible.
In other words like the invisibility prim we use for shoes but instead of affecting the avitar wearing it it would affect whatever prims it is linked to so I can effectively "remove" parts of prims.

Is there such a script? would it be possible?

The avatar invisibility script isn't really a script, so much as a special texture. there's two such textures (first two listed). if you use the 2nd of the two special textures, it will usually hide a link-set that's behind it if the entire link set is obscured by the prim.

The function is working perfectly fine. It's just not working the way you wanted it to work.

Thank you so much. I got it to work by making the prim I wanted to hide part of 1% transparent. It worked really well. I'm really pleased with it. Thanks again.
