I'm SURE somebody posted about this previously, but I haven't been able to find it...
.. that there's a certain texture that makes an object transparent to clicks - ie, it doesn't accept touches, nor does it block touches for objects "behind" it. Can anyone tell me the magic UUID?

I'm not really sure on the details of this, but it seems like 1.9 might have snuck something like this through without telling us. I've noticed that I can click and touch through the 100% alpha portions of a texture now. I can't click through a side that's set 100% alpha by a script, however.
Anyway, the answer to your question is that you can make your prim pass clicks through by setting it with a 100% alpha texture. If you make a texture specifically for this, please, please make it very small.

Hmm. I tried this, with a 100% alpha texture I was given by someone on the Scripters IM group, and it had strange results: right clicks went through, but not left clicks.

From: Yumi Murakami Hmm. I tried this, with a 100% alpha texture I was given by someone on the Scripters IM group, and it had strange results: right clicks went through, but not left clicks. This is the same thing I had when I figured out about using a clear texture; Right-clicks and dropping items pass through when not in edit mode, but not touches. To touch something behind a clear textured prim, you'll need to right-click and select 'Touch' from the pie menu. BTW, SL has a built in 100% transparent texture (f54a0c32-3cd1-d49a-5b4f-7b792bebc204), though I have my own so I can drop it on a prim without needing to use a script.
