Weird permissions help with a game I made

I finished BlackJack Pro, a (you guessed it) blackjack game for my casino. I set up a vendor in my casino for those interested in purchasing either full copy or no copy versions. My first customer purchased one and for some reason he can't modify the configuration notecard contained in the object. This doesn't make sense to me, and this is how I set it up:

The main game script I do not want to have modified or even viewed, so I set the object to Next Owner can't Modify. I also made sure the permissions on the script are set to not modify.

The rest of the items (notecards for config and instructions) I set individual permissions on to allow modifying, etc.

Now, please excuse the noob question, how do I properly set up an object that has multiple items, each with their own permissions?

When you set the overall permissions for an object as "no modify" the next owner will not be able to drop new items into the object (like notecards). They will also not be able to modify items within the object. They will be able to remove things from it, but not be able to put them back into the object.

I ran into this with my button bar. An early version I had marked as "no modify" and people could not edit the notecards or drop new animations into it.

If you want them to edit notecards inside, mark the overall object as "modify" but keep the individual scripts marked "no modify". This should work for you.

You can get round this with llAllowInventoryDrop (you might want llRemoveInventory too) and llGiveInventory or llGiveInventoryList.

Okay, it still doesn't seem to work.

What I did was checked Next Owner can Modify, then I went through each item and allowed next owner to Modify everything, except the game script.

The client for some reason still when he tries to view the notecard it says "You are not allowed to view".

Any ideas?

This should be something easy, but I can't seem to figure it out :-|

OK I solved it, thanks for those that helped What you have to do is make sure you also allow the next owner Copy permissions on the notecard.
