llInstantMessage not sending emails

Hi!

I have a script that uses llInstantMessage to let me know about things that happen. When I'm offline I get emails.

But suddenly it is not working. When I'm online I get the IMs, but when I'm offline I don't get emails. The preferences configuration is the same I didn't change anything.

Does someone know why this happen?

That is not the case this time, sterling. The same script with llInstantMessage is working well to a friend of mine, he receives the emails with no problem.

In the SL blog, they talk about problems with the group IMs. I think that it is not the same case here in this post. I'm talking about the llInstantMessage function.

I don't know why, sometimes, the same script is not working the same. Sometimes i think that it has something to do with the way how you rez the scripted object out of the inventory.

Didn't it happen to you?

And one more thing, during these last days I have know that, sometimes, when you rez something out of the inventory to the floor it suddenly disappears with no trace. Have some of you hear about this as well?

After the repairs yesterday. It continues the same llInstantMessage is not sending emails.

Could it be that I took the object in my inventory and later I rezzed it back?

Are you getting other IMs forwarded to your mailbox? Have a friend send you an IM while you are offline to test.

yes I receive other emails with no problems.

Only those coming from that function llInstantMessage are not working. And they were working one week before. I didn't change any thing only that I took the object to my inventory and later I rezzed it back to the same place where it was before.

Perhaps I'm reading too much into how you worded this, but are llInstantMessages from other objects forwarding to email correctly for you?

I didn't try that but I'm going to doit right now. I will let you know

Well. I've tried that.

I've done a simple script with a timer and a llInstantMessage that works when I'm online but when I'm offline no IMs came to my email.

I have also tried that some friends to IM me when offline and those IM do come to my email address.

So it seems that llInstantMessage is not working with me.

Any ideas?

This morning, oddly, I have re-started to receive emails coming from my llInstantMessage scripted object.

I have my eyes as big as plates.
lol.

Wait and see if they are still arriving tomorrow before you relax.....

If getting emails is that important, why not try using llEmail to make sure it does send you. Although recently there have been problems with Email functions as well at least you get some kind of back.

now it seems to be working well. But if it fails again I will do it.
