I have seen some ads for items/scripts that reduct the prim count of an object. Typically they are called "rezers" does anyone understand how this works and if it is an ok thing to do?
Any help on this would be appreciated. Itchy

I think the temporary rez causes an object to die within 2 minutes and doesn't count towards prim count so my guess would be the script kills and re-rezzes the object every so often.

That's basically it, yes.
I wouldn't use them. The reason that there are prim limits is not just so that LL can charge you more money to get more prims - there are sim resource issues as well. If you're going hundreds over the limit you're putting a load on the sim that it's not designed to take.

Cool thanks guys. I some what suspected it worked along those lines.
I agree increasing lag is not a solution. Thanks for the help.
