was wondering if anyone knew of a script that would make a skybox and it's contents invisible to anyone on the outside.

Well you can set up an invisi prim script to make all the avatars disappear, but the objects... :/

Only if you have full modify permissions to all the objects, could you add scripts to them to change their alpha from 1 to 0 and back. A "switch" object could llRegionSay to trigger them.

IIRC anything with a 32 bit texture, and avatars vanish behind an invisiprim. So perhaps if everything in the skybox is textured with textures that have a little bit of transparency (or maybe just uploaded as 32 bit textures) then nothing would show from the outside.
I don't know about particles or nametags.

the invisiprim thing works if you take all the stuff inside that doesn't have an alpha channel, and in it's properties, add 2 % transparency.... but then you have to deal with the alpha sorting glitch...
you could always paint the outside a blue grey? =)

From: Void Singer you could always paint the outside a blue grey? =) I was trying to accomplish this by making a script that checked the sun position and changed the colors of all the walls to match the sky at any given time. Turned out being more work then it was worth (for me anyway), as there were so many different colors. Maybe I'll finish it some day, or if anyone else wants to do it I'd love a copy. Of course it wouldn't be hidden from people who override the sun.
