How can I get the key in order to pay a third party, who is not the owner and hasn't touched the object? The owner needs to specify the 3rd party. Someone mentioned a "UUI", but I can't find that searching.

You can use a nametokey database online (WHat, Ulrika, several others) to search for the person's UUID (=key). It sounds like you don't have immediate access to the third party to ask him or her to click a simple object that reports to you the key. That'd probably be the lowest-hassle way.
