i am looking for a simple rocking chair script... anyone have any idea the best way to do this? I don't think simple rotation will quite work.

So you basically want to rotate an object around its base rather than around the center of the object? The quickest method I can think of is to add an invisible prim below your rocking chair. This prim moves the geometric center of the chair down towards the bottom of the chair by lengthening the whole chair. After that, it should be a simple matter of using llSetRot or llTargetOmega to "rock" your chair.

One problem with that . . . you need a translation as well as a rotation for it to really work like a rocking chair.

rocking chair part two

I need that kind of motion as well... both as a back and forth motion for a rocking horse and a side to side for a bassinette. I am not a scriptor so I am afraid the above does not help me.
Has anyone got copy/trans scripts that will do these things? Or does anyone know where they can be purchased?
Thank you
