I am a fledgling jeweler, many of my pieces i love to use a small bit a bling tho im not a scripter so i use some scripts that were given to me and others that are out there for free use. Most have the ability to touch the object and it turns off the particle effect but id like to make it voice command. How is this done? I have seached the forums and havent found anything . what i need to do is add lines into an exsiting script.

Please don't! Adding a listener to a "bling" script is just adding insult to injury.

You maynee dto play with the particles to get it to something you like. Maybe compare the seeting from one you like...

Actually Laukosargas...if it's a private channel listen, you're not going to get much lag. The listen only filters through commands given on its channel and sits basically inactive otherwise (just like a prim waitin' for a touch).

Still...

I find it amazing that bling is still popular in SL when it's been obviously overdone and has died in the real world.

WHY can't we just call it "sparkle" or something? So that it has less of a '03 fad appeal?

I don't mind having a little shimmer on your jewelry - it can add a nice touch - but for god's sake don't call it "bling"...
