I have just started to wander into the llGiveMoney portion of scripting. I wanted to wait till I was fairly comfortable before doing so, since that has real concequences! So, I was thinking about llGiveMoney, and then I got to wondering, what happens if the owners account is 0L? does an error pop up? does the account go negative? that lead me to wondering, is it possible (with out odd tricks) to have a prim pay from an account other than the owner? such as an alt? If anyone knows the answers to those questions, and where Jimmy Hoffa really is....I would really appreciate the assitance.

(a) You can't transfer L$ from an av without his/her permission. (b) An account can't go negative. (c) See http://lslwiki.net/lslwiki/wakka.php?wakka=llGiveMoney. (d) Jimmy Hoffa playing cards with Elvis this evening. He can't come to the phone.

(b1) technically "AN ACCOUNT" *CAN* go negative, but I beleive this can only happen through Linden-Collected fees. (land listings, group liabilities).. I don't beleive that llGiveMoney can take an account into negatives.... but this isn't one I'm willing to test. To test it, simply roll up an alt, give it 10L, make a box to use llGiveMoney (with debit permissions) to take 1L from the alt, and pay it to your main account, then click the box 11 times, and see what happens.

I believe that only the owner's object can be set to debit from their account since PERMISSION_DEBIT I think is owner only. That being said be very careful since if miscoded llGiveMoney can and will take all the money out of your account before you notice. It does give you an insufficient funds popup btw if you try to take more money than you have out of your account.
