llSetTexture question

I see in the wiki that llSetTexture only applies to the calling prim, and if it is a child of a linked set, then that prim must be the one containing the script.

However, does this mean that the texture must be in that child prim, or will textures in a linked set's root prim be accessable by child prims making the llSetTexture call?

Thanks.

I believe it either has to be in that actual child prim. Or, if you have full permissions to the texture, you could always use the UUID itself, and then it doesn't have to be anywhere at all.
