Seeing the region that an avatar tps to

There are some devices out there that apparently allow you to see what region a nearby avatar tps to. I'm wondering what functions in LSL could retrieve that information. If it's a hack or some unintended affect of some function.

It seems what they're saying is:

For a brief moment after an avatar leaves a sim, llGetObjectDetails() will still work on it, and the reported location of the avatar will be their location on the global map relative to the sim (eg, if they went to the sim to the east, their x will be between 256-512)

It seems to require having a very, very fast timer event and I'd be surprised if it was 100% reliable..

I played with it a bit and it does work but the way the script is set up with last person limits testing it all the way. Haven't had a chance to strip it down and try it with a person's key you know and try to track them.
