I have a set of scripts called wooden sword devleopers kit, but dont dont understand whats happening wrong for me. Is there an order to prim linking, and/or positioning on avatar, as only part disappears, I am just not getting how these three elements of dagger, sheath, and sheathed dagger come together. Does/do the script(s) go into each prim seperately or a single linkrd object, and is there a prim limit? I admit to being rather scripting challenged, but I am trying to learn. Any help will be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

I haven't seen that kit before or worked with it. Where did you pick it up?

The dagger and the empty sheath would be invisible while the sheathed dagger is visible. And the opposite would occur with the dagger is drawn. This gives the effects of being just one item but its really three.

First thanks for responding, I dont recall where i bought it, if i can find out when i can get inworld i will let you know.
Right its three objects, but is the script placed in , in relation to placement order or do generally the scripts hve to be placed in each individual prim of each single linked object? For example do I adjust the objects placement before or after inserting the script? Otherwise if anyone knows of a good set of sword scripts out there I should try, please let me know. Thanks

I would adjust before inserting the scripts since the script may record placement. But it may not make a difference. Make a backup copy before you start so you can always start over. The only script need for the sheath and sheathed dagger is to make it visible or invisible, the sword itself should have movement and damage scripts. When I get inworld I have a couple of sword scripts I can send you, (assuming your SL name is Isis Desmoulins).
