Hi everybody!
Got a noob question for you. I did search the forums but couldn't find the answer so here goes:
I will be getting into the vehicle building business soon, I have a car that many people want to buy BUT it's well over 100 prims. I have heard the the prim limit for vehicles are 35. I also heard that I could make a script that would attach the car to me to make it look like it's driving. Since I am still clueless regarding scripting does anyone have any advice?
I will have to scale the car back for this to work I'm sure but I'd rather not if I can help it.
Thanks in advance!

Prime Limit

Prime limit on vechicles is 31. Each av counts as a prime so a vehicle thats 30 primes will seat 1. A car thats 27 primes will seat 4. It is possible to "wear" the vehicle but thats just cheese..

Oh well, looks like I'll try to sell the car as a decoration, which is a shame. Thanks for the reply Neo.

It's also possible to have the vehicle itself be a mere framework for physics, collisions and such, and have the avatar wear the details. This works in theory, though i haven't tried it yet

From: Rhombur Volos It's also possible to have the vehicle itself be a mere framework for physics, collisions and such, and have the avatar wear the details. This works in theory, though i haven't tried it yet Vehitars work in practice, but they're far more cumbersome than a standard vehicle. The extra step of donning the attachments tends to frustrate and confuse newer people. Nonetheless, it's one of the only ways to produce a high-prim vehicle. It's possible to automatically rez the attachment and then attach it when someone sits in the vehicle. However, this only works with attachments that have few prims. If you use a script to rez larger objects, I've found that sims will often crash under the load. I have a 700 prim attachment that consistently killed sims.
