Hi - in terms of testing a system which includes avatars sitting (un-sitting) on objects is there a way to test this by myself during development? Is there a way to get some test objects to act like avatars and get them to SIT on an object, and then be able to UN-SIT them later in the game/script operation?

Or is there no way around this and I need multiple real avatars to test?

Tks

No, only avatars can sit.

Greg:

You might be interested to know that you can run two instances of the SL client at the same time, on the same computer. This way you can log in two avie's simultanously and have them both sit. This is very useful if you are designing couples poses and don't want to bother a friend to help you with positioning.

To run two copies of SL at the same time, you need a fairly beefy computer. Then, all you do is create a shortcut that adds the -multiple switch to the command line. This will allow you to run two instances of SL. Poke around the forums and search for "multiple instances" ... you fill find lots of help with this.

Like this thread :)

Good luck Greg!
