Translation:

Hey out there, I made a vendor and need someone to help me script it. It has a screen in the center with 2 smaller screens on each side displaying the next and last items shown. I want it so they can view all three screens at the same time. If you think you can help me out or still dont understand, IM me in-world (Booda Fox)

Hope this helps :D

The translation was done because about the best way to not get help - in this forum particularly - is to use "chat-speak". You likely didn't know that; now you do.

If you are trying to make a vendor device to sell, don't bother as the market is already saturated with well tested, well beaten upon vendors.

If you are trying to make a vendor device to sell your items, buy one instead. You've chosen an ambitious project and vendor devices are notoriously hard to get right. Worse still, when it screws up (and it likely will) you now have annoyed former customers on your hands.

If you are trying to make a vendor device in order to learn LSL, there are myriad better projects to cut your teeth on. In this case, find either the "GNU Wave" store or "Yadni's Junkyard" for scripted items for L$1 or L$0 and learn from them, improve them, get new ideas from them.

I hope that helps. Good luck.

www.secondserver.net, Sami Telehub, Garrison (Gigas Supermall), Luna

You can also take the default vendors and put them in your own!

Booda: Sure, it never hurts to recreate the wheel when wanting to learn something new. Take a look at the hello, world program for every language :)

I guess it would really help us here to help you get started if we had some idea of your scripting background. Do you know LSL fairly well, pretty good, a little, not at all? If you don't know LSL very well, or are a bit hazy on event-oriented programming, then your best place to start is the LSL Wikki . You can check out some helpful "getting started" tutorials and it's a great resource to have around and become familiar with.

If you ARE familiar with LSL, and you are just looking for direction - it would help us to know if you have knowledge with particular functions/events in LSL such as
  1. llListen() functions, listen() event
  2. llSay() functions
  3. LinkMessages, messagelink event
  4. llRequestPermissions(), llGetPermissions(), Permission Constants/Enumerators, runtimepermission event
  5. Money() event, GiveMoney() function
  6. llGiveInventory(), llGiveInventoryList()
  7. Basic script variable handling, function creation and usage, etc

At anyrate, give us a little background to help you out a bit with! Thanks.

For the more technically minded - the problem is actually NOT the asset server (or 'asshat' as you prefer to affectionately call it herein).
