Particles emitted on script action. How to control?

Hello,

sorry if this is a question asked often but I don't even know the key words to use for an answer.

When I apply changes to an object (e.g. apply impulse but also on many other operations) my object often emits kind of particles like some fire flies flying around it for about half a second or so. This seems to be a linden default behaviour, as I haven't set up ANY particle system at all but have seen the same effect at other objects -not done by me- too.

This effect is annoying in some situations.

How can I control it, esp. switch it off?

Best
best regards
Cynthia

Those particles are part of the system and display when the object "talks". Is the object saying something as well? If so, make it not say anything, and those particles will go away. :)

Yes,

you were right. The object did a lot of debug output.
After I muted that output it moved without the particle effects

Thanks
