Can Someone Help Me.

I have purchased a pretty good size house in SL. This house has window privacy scripts and also door security scripts. I would perfer not to say where I got the house but it is one I really like and was worth the price, but I need some help. The current scripting system for all the doors will only allow "me" the "owner" to lock and unlock all the doors. It does not provide a way for my partner to be able to do the same. Can someone either give me a script or tell me where to buy one, or sell me one that will enable either me or my partner to be able to have total access to the house and doors. She has full permissions on the land.

..I suggest start by asking the maker of the prefab... he/she prob can recomend something...

Thanks for the hint. I have been in SL for almost a year and love the program. I have several houses in my inventory but do not know enough about scripting to get this to work. But if everything I read about the changes coming up in SL I may not be here long. This weekend was the worst I have ever had in SL. Someone came on to our land and started putting down prims and almost lost the contents of the house. Lucky for us we had enough extra prims until we got him off, banned, and cleaned up. This crap needs to be stopped and the lindens will do nothing about it. It is quickly becoming no fun anymore and not worth the over $800.00 a year I am putting into the program. Thanks again.

if the door is a single cut prim you can pull the controlling door script right out of those doors and put it into your existing door. Most you'd have to do is change the rotation in the open and close function of the script, just play around with the rotations, and make sure that your new door is linked to something static (like the rest of the house) and is NOT the root prim. If that's too much work . . . you can use those, just resize/shape 'em to fit your doorway.

might I suggest changing the permissions on your land so that only group members can create/rez? that will save you the trouble of people doing things like that, or leaving you little "surprises"

I designed this script for a homebuilder recently, I called it an access control list door. It comes with two notecards called whitelist and blacklist. If both are emtpy, anyone can use the door. If there are names in the blacklist, anyone except those names can use it, and names in the whitelist means only the whitelisted names can open and close the door.

I want to thank everyone for their suggestions. MC thank you will go take a look! I really need to learn scripting. At some point I would like to start building things to make a few extra lindes. So far it has been a lot of fun in SL except for the few incidents that have happened. I will take all of the advice you have given me and put into place. Just put another $85.00 USD into the program this month. Right now it is worth the price. We can do so much in the program. Yeah, it is mainly a game for me and I am enjoying it. Being 62 years old I am probably one of the oldest playing but it sure has enriched my life so far. Relieves a lot of real life stresses. After open heart, quadruple bypass surgery it has help keep the depression that is normally associated with it away. Thanks to all the residents of SL for making this a great place to relax. And a very special thanks to my SL Partner (Redd Jimador) for making my life truly rewarding.
