Money tree scripts not working properly?

I have bought a pretty expensive Money Tree from an in-world company named (hm, better not to name them because of forum TOS). The tree has some nice new features, so I bought it last week.

Unfortunately the service of this company is very bad. I had a small question right after rezzing the tree and sent IMs and notecards, but no reply. Since yesterday there is a bigger problem with the scripts inside and I IM'ed all three partners in the company. But still no reply. Others who also have the tree, have not had any reply either since weeks now.

So I have no other option than to ask script experts here.

The tree has several scripts which calculate and display (hover text) the money I put into the tree, the amount which is taken out by avis, what's left and which 5 avis took the last money from the tree. These scripts don't work anymore, they don't 'update' themselves. So the displayed amounts/numbers stay the same even if people take money out of the tree. These are several scripts. I tried resetting the scripts, taking and rezzing the tree again over and over again, but no luck.

Someone told me tonight that there was a Linden server hickup yesterday, which made all money scripts like these fail. Is that true, can anyone confirm this? Any help would be much appreciated.

There isn't much anyone will be able to do for you if the scripts are no mod, reset doesn't help, and the maker isn't responding.

Most money trees out there come from Wolfhaven Productions, and that one is virtually free, sold for 1L. It's supported too, a new version just came out with some anti-bot features. If I was in your shoes I'd probably go get one of those and call it a day.

The creator Traven Sachs has always responded very quickly to any queries I have had.

I noticed bots picking from the tree earlier in the week, IM'd Traven and he had an updated tree within hours.

Anyway, I have spoken to a lot of people tonight and finally the problem was solved. The general menu has an option to not generate offline IMs when people grab money from the tree. Apparently this option also disables the scripts that I was talking about. Everything works well now.

But what I'm really angry about is the bad customer service of this company. I've spoken to other tree owners who never got 1 reply to their IMs and notecards in months! By the way, I've removed the company's name because of this forums TOS.

It's an absolute outrage when companies think their customers are nothing more than crap. Luckily I could solve this myself. But when you have problems with their products, you are in deep shit!
