Hiyas Everyone, I have 11 linked prims (2-12) that I want to blink at random using llSetLinkPrimitiveParams(Linknum, [PRIM_POINT_LIGHT, FALSE, <1, 1, 1>, 1.0, 0.20, 0.00 ]); I would like to have a variable included to control the speed of state changes (TRUE/FALSE) as well a variable to control Linknum change rate (I know the 2 have to connect somehow). If someone would be so kind as to point me in the directions I need to go with this, I would greatly appreciate the effort. Thanx!

I don't have an answer to your script question, but I do have info about point lights that may cause your lights to not work as expected. You can only see six point lights at one time. This is why you sometimes see the point light glow effect snap on and off as you walk around. While you may not plan on having them all turned on at once, there is still the possibility that other nearby point lights will cancel the lighting effect of your flashing lights. See this thread for reference: /327/00/217485/1.htmlOne solution might be to use only one or two point lights, changing their colors as needed to keep up with the average color blend of the lights that are turned on. Yet another solution, use the new "GLOW" texture option in WindLight. It simulates a pretty cool-looking halo. With this "glow" option, you may be able to run a lag-less animated texture that simulates your blinking lights... the glow should increase or decrease with the flashes. I have such a "Flashing Light" prim available for free at my place in Europa (NW corner) if you'd like to use it (I haven't added the glow effect yet, so not sure how well it'll work.)

I was just going to post my findings but you beat me to it DoteDote... lol. It was a nice idea in theory but it doesn't work for a full-effect blinking lights. /me shudders at the thought of Windlight but will check it out. Thanx!

llSetLinkPrimitiveparams does have a forced delay coded in so the speed at which you can change the properties of prims in your linkset using just a single script is limited. multiple scripts on the other hand will allow you to change more prims at the same time.

so use only one with prim point light, and the rest just use fullbright... they'll still blink, and you'll still have your glow
