Terraforming by LSL?

I was playing around with the terraforming calls a bit and get the weirdest results. Especially the brush sizes seem to be huuuuge, I mean the effect they are showing on the land.

The area influenced by a brush size LAND_SMALL_BRUSH (specified as 2x2 m) seems to be 4x4 meters when trying to level land for example.

Brush size LAND_MEDIUM_BRUSH (specified as 4x4 m) affects a region of 8x8 meters.

Only Brush size LAND_MEDIUM_LARGE (specified as 8x8 m) seems to work as specified.

I tried to use different x,y positions. While effects change a little it seems to be impossible to manipulate an area below 4 x 4. Thats rather coarse. :(

Anyone else here with experience with llModifyLand() ?

Never tried it by scripting.

Assuming it duplicates the direct edit tools I'd expect 4X4, 8X8 and 16X16 as the sizes of the brush though. They're the sizes (I'm pretty sure about large, but positive for the others) of the small, medium and large brushes available from the edit land dialog box.

Does not "fit" with the docs on the LSL Wiki at all. See http://secondlife.com/badgeo/wakka.php?wakka=llModifyLand

In addition, the areas changed by LSLS seem to be 4X4, 8X8 and 8x8 ...

When you use the Edit Land tools you can lower or raise an area of 2x2 with the small brush. An area of 4x4 might be affected by this. But the area flattened, raises or lowered is 2x2. That is exactly the area that is covered by the white dots, while using the land tools. Not so with LSL. :(
