As many scripters are no doubt aware there is a 'trick' that can be used to allow scripts in attached objects to function (at least to a degree) in no-script areas. Amoungst other items, this trick is often employed with hug-attachments, and AOs. For some time now there have been grumbles that the symptomatic 'Release Keys' that appears on first use of these items is now behaving differently. Some thing's changed with llTakeControls. I've noticed myself that for some time now this 'trick' has become less predictable. Does anyone have a better insight into exactly what has changed beyond the fact that people are sometimes having the Release Keys persist. There is now a Jira entry: but I don't think it really describes the actual problem, not least because there's a perception that these items do not take control when in fact, of course, they do - just not for the reasons people normally expect the controls to be taken.
