Hello, I am in need of a scripter to create a simple repeating animation. See image below: I want the puppet "magazines" to bob up and down (and perhaps a tad bit of sway). And from behind, I want the cylinder gears to rotate. This is all I need. Can somebody please IM me, and we'll talk about compensation. ~ Michael Bigwig Bigwig Industries www.oddfellowmag.com

simple rotation script might work

in the public domain i think there is a free script that is a simple texture rotation script that might work for the cylinder gears. Also, if you set your texture up right, you could use an animate texture script used in waterfalls that gives the puppets the appearance of moving up and down. imagine that my texture looks like this
__low puppet__ --HIGH PUPPET--
and i am animating it to move from right to left or left to right along the surface.
then create two prims, each with this kind of texture and with a simple anim flow script in the object. could work i think, and for free. the trick would be making the texture is all.

Well hello there Persephone, you do get around don't you.
Thank you for the advice--I am a tad confused as to the second part of your explaination. Are you saying that the puppets (the magazines on sticks) are to be animated textures themselves? Using alpha channels? Then I match a model to it...
The gears I fully understand...but the magazines on sticks I'm not sure about.
Thanks anyhow Persephone. I will research further.
