Since the creation of the LSL Portal there have been several big debates but the really important one is about the layout and style of content. It's been over a year since a style was chosen and it's high time we had a review. We need to make a list of concerns, problems, wants and needs. Once we have that we can adjust the layout and authorship guidelines to be in step with the list.

As it stands the LSL Portal mission statement reads: "To provide accurate documentation for the scripting language of Second Life: LSL"
The goal statement reads: "To provide documentation to help scripters of all skill levels."

(If you would like to discuss the perceived cross purposes of these two statements I recommend reading this first: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Talk:LSL_Portal_Guidelines )

Here are the needs and wants I see for the documentation please post your own:
* Needs to be accessible to new users who have a poor grasp of the content
* Needs to be accessible to old users who have a good grasp of the content
* Needs to be accurate and complete
* Needs to provide a list of common problems and solutions
* Needs to provide examples
* Needs to list related articles and content

Truth is a river that is always splitting up into arms that reunite. Islanded between the arms, the inhabitants argue for a lifetime as to which is the main river.

Without the political will to find common ground, the continual friction of tactic and counter tactic, only creates suspicion and hatred and vengeance, and perpetuates the cycle of violence.
