Hello. Im a weapon scripter and would like to create a sword that will draw from a sheath and attach to hand then on command unattach and delete. Its working fine but always leaves a copy of the sword in my inventory. This is a no no/ Its not like they will be able to give the item away with no transfer but they certainly dont want tons of copies in there inventory. If someone has come up with a way to do this without the items ending up in inventory please let me know.

I have considered a alpha trick of actually haveing the item in your hand the entire time just phantom and fully transparent then when the call is made for the draw of the sword just make it visible and start animations. But there are many prims in this item and doing this will not be very clean looking as the parts show and hide.

Thanks for any help

Wow, this idea sees to be VERY popular right about now. Everyone and their friend wants to script a sword that will draw from a sheath...

Anyways, llSetLinkAlpha. Your pre-llSetLinkAlpha woes of having 40 link message listeners to change alpha will be over!
