Hola Scripty Folks -

So I really don't know much about scripting at all. My knowledge is very limited and if given a script I've been able to adjust a few things to make it do other stuff, but I can tell you that I know exactly what I'm looking for. Essentially what I'm looking for is a script that you can put into a prim and by simply touching the object it brings up the blue popup window with numerous different options to choose from. The options would be for different textures. So essentially if I had created a green frog with my own textures, I'd like to touch and be able to turn it into a red, blue, yellow frog by popup window choices. Anything you can send my way would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for anyone that responds and have a fantastic week.

It sounds like you really need this in the Products Wanted section of the forum. We don't build and give out per demand scripts here. We help people work on thier own scripts. If you want help with a script then look through the wiki, the library and the examples for something to start with. Tweak it around and experiment, start with a script that you can get to work that will pop up a menu when you touch the object. Once that works then get a menu button to make an object go full bright when touched for example then add on step by step. Make sure after each step that the script will do what you want it to do.

If you run into a problem then post what you have here and we will help and show you how to generate a random channel using llFrand etc.

When you finish then you should have a "simple" script that uses a random channel, the list for the buttons gets the number of buttons & names for them by just dropping textures into object etc while chopping off the names if they are too long.

Aha! Thank you Jesse. I now see that the Products Wanted forum would have been the best place to go with my request. To be honest I'd really try your patience if you attempted to take the time to teach me what I'm doing wrong.

OMG Believe me you wouldn't try my patience!. I had zero coding expirience when I started with LSL. I bugged the hell out of everybody in this forum and everyone helped. If you are interested in learning then look around for the freebie scripts and start looking through the wiki and posting questions here. If I can learn then anyone can. But be forewarned scripting is highly addictive in the true sense and sleep, life and everything else suffers because of it. Have to work tomorrow? One little problem in a script can result in a 4 AM bed time!

Completely frustrating and unbelievably rewarding in a personal growth sense.
