Trying To Figure Out Camera

Hello, this is the first time I am posting to this forum and I hope someone can assist me. I am trying to use the following in a pose ball to have the camera look at me from the front. So I have put the following into the State_Entry(),

llSetCameraEyeOffset(<4.0, 0.0, 1.0>;);
llSetCameraAtOffset(<2.0, 0.0, 1.0>;);

Ok so when I rez the pose ball, the scripts are reset. I would expect that the next avr to sit on the pose ball would have the camera set, however this is not the case. If I hit the left or right arrow key the camera adjusts and from that point on it works fine when I sit on the pose ball. So I am wondering why the camera does not adjust when I sit on the pose ball without pressing the left or right arrow key.

Now I know that I should probably use the SetCameraParams(), but I could not figure out how to get it to work properly. If someone could help me with this, I would appreciate it, or show me how to get the job done using the setcameraparams. Thanks very much for any help.

Thank you for the response. I did try this but it seems that in order to get the camera to refocus after being rezzed still requires me to press the left or right arrow key. Is this normal and will it laways happen this way.

The camera offset functions only work properly if your camera is not manually focused at the time you sit. You manually focus your camera by holding the Alt key, and clicking on something with the mouse. To cancel a manual focus, you can hit Escape twice.

Is that the problem you're having? That confused me the first time I used the functions.

Pedro, no the camera is not in the mouse view. It seems to be eratic when trying to control the camera through scripts. I have had one person whos camera never changed when sitting on the pose ball. So I am not sure how to correct these types of problems.

Radon, Pedro was not describing Mouselook. He was describing alt-zoom.

Try hitting esc-esc before you use the pose ball.
