How to detect the version of the client?

If I want to add support for setting the MIME type in a llParcelMediaCommandList()
call, how can I work around the fact it will fail in earlier clients?

It's really screwy that we have to tell the parcel a MIME type at all. Browsers have been handling this for.. what.. 15 years?

I wonder if you dont' set a MIME type, would it auto detect? The parcel interface has an auto detect option.
