Is it possible to disable a scripted object you don't own, on land that's not yours?

I certainly hope not. Griefers would have a field day.
If you want to disable a script that IS yours, select the object that contains it and use Tools >> Set Scripts to Not Running in Selection, or simply open the script itself and uncheck the "Run" box.
