Get avatar's key from their name?

I've got a script that uses a notecard which is bascially a bunch of user supplied keys. Is it possible to rework it so the user can supply a notecard of names and then I can use some LSL to convert the names to keys?

How is this object interacting with avatars? You already have a key that is being compared against the current notecard, so you can get a name from that key to compare against. llGetObjectDetails() can get you the name of who (or what) is interacting with you.

Depending on how the interaction is done, a check that what you are dealing with is really an avatar might not hurt (a non-null llGetAgentSize() is a popular gimmick).

Thanks Day Oh, but I'm looking for an LSL solve without anything outside.

Vktoria - It's a pay split that uses the notecard during a money event with llGiveMoney ()

Okay, so it's a static kind of arrangement and not interactive :/ Yeah, you are kind of stuck using a workaround for now then: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-215

Note, not all avatar names are in this registry, so this won't always work.
