I'm trying to find a setting for llSensor that will detect moving physical objects while ignoring non-physical or non-moving physical objects with active scripts. From my reading of the wikis, it seems everything returns objects with active scripts except AGENT. Is there something I'm missing here? (Filtering after the sensor returns its info isn't feasible; I'm getting so many false positives off of irrelevant objects that the objects of interest are not making it onto the list of 16 objects returned.)

Nope. It'd also be nice to be able to filter on object OWNER, huh (like, finding my own rogue objects would be awesome)? But the reality is that sensors are very, very limited. Ah well.

You have to use a check on llDetectedVel() in the sensor() event, and make a rotating sensor that scans only part of the world at a time.

Ah well. ![]() If you only want to filter your objects, you can use llGetObjectDetails(llDetectedKey(i), [OBJECT_OWNER]); Edit: Ah, I see... You want to filter directly, not from returned data. Should read the whole post. I'm sorry. |
