Is it possible to determine which side of a box prim was touched by an avatar?
I have a box with different textures on all sides and want to change the texture that is seen by the AV on his touch!
Thanks in advance!

Short answer is no...but there was a thread not too long ago with the same type of question in which people came up with creative methods of detecting the point of a prim that was touched.
One method was to have an avatar 'throw' an invisible prim at the object and detecting that objects collision via script. The other method had something to do with mouselook and detecting the camera...though I have to admit I don't remember fully. _____________________

Maybe you could rebuild the box out of 6 flat prims, one per side.
Then each prim could have script in it, and respond to a touch with the right texture? |

Thanks everybody!
I will try Senuka's tip about the camera! But I think LL should provide this information, it would be so handy in many builds! Start voting! Shy |
