Hi!
I am using ground repel to float an oject i am sitting on over water. It really seems to work well until I get to a sim boundary, where I sink like a stone! Am I doing something wrong???
Here's the code:
llGroundRepel(.5, TRUE, 0.05);
I turn on physics before executing the line.
Thanks,
Sandy

From: Sandflea Lorefield Am I doing something wrong??? In all likelihood, no. Do you snap back up to the expected height after a moment? Sometimes weird things happen at sim boundaries. Also, I believe water height CAN actually be different between neighboring sims, though I think it is always the same on the mainland. If the height of the water suddenly changed across the boundary it could be very odd....

It does not snap back to the surface, and then it even refuses to float if I return to the original sim. I have to re-rez the object! I tried another object that is configured as a vehicle and it passed through smoothly. There was no apparent change in altitude from sim to sim. I even tried rezzing it at another sim and cross another boundary - two brand new sims! It did the same thing. Sandy
