Hi,
is there anything in lsl that is less intuitive than particlesystems?
i've been banging my head against llParticleSystem() for a while now, and i can't figure out how to get a particle system set up that visualizes the water spraying out of the spout of a watering can.
Anyone here who could help me a bit?
thanks, LC

From: Dora Gustafson Go and visit the Particle Lab in world I've been there and STILL banging my head, too. I even bought a Porgan and cant figure it out. When I have time, i am going to offer to pay someone to tutor me. So dont feel bad, Lance...youre not the only one

I dont know... I went to the particle lab and went from kiosk to kiosk, reading all information there, starting at the very beginning, and it was very informative. You do have to spend some time there though, it took me a good 2-3 hours to make it though all the various kiosks and info cards. It's not something one can rush. I highly recommend the particle lab for learning about particle systems, as there's no better tutor out there.

AND, if you gather the various templates that are available there, you can use them as starting points for your own experiments. I really don't think ANYTHING is "intuitive," but particles are no harder to figure out than a lot of other programming concepts, especially when you have Jopsey's examples to learn from.
