Maybe someone can help me, I've about run out of ideas. I may just be taking the wrong approach.

I have a horse that is worn as an attachment. Very nice work by AKK (they deserve the plug). I designed a saddle so I can take an additional rider with me. The pose/anim and script works fine on it's own. I haven't been able to get it to work with the horse yet. The saddle is set to be sat on when clicked. when I link it to the horse, it doesn't work. The horse has it's own root prim and I have tried putting the script/anim there. I have even tried it as an attachment to my own avatar, but clicking it is just like clicking on me.

Can anyone give me an idea of how I can make this work? My girl wants to ride with me.

Ever since LL plugged the exploit that allowed libsl clients to actually sit on another user (and subsequently crash the sim), this hasn't been possible.

You cannot sit on another avatar's attachments, Second Life doesn't allow it.

Sorry :(

Then how are the avatars with saddles that work possible?

I've seen dragon avs, horse avs, and more that work with saddles perfectly well.

I've even ridden on one.

Well, I can't speak about the others... but the dragon saddle used for the Isle of Wyrms dragons is actually a vehicle that both the dragon and rider "ride". Its not an avatar attachment; its rezzed and then both parties sit on their respective poseballs.

There's a JIRA issue for sitting on attachments again, please feel free to vote on it, but don't expect it to be fixed in time for your project to rely on it =)
