heyas;

this is only a partial script question... and a sorta sl logistics question.... i dunno who else knows this crazy stuff besides you guys.

i'm working with a group on a halloween maze with goodies. for a grand prize, we want to give a bunch of goodies made by several artists. the problem is.... no one person owns all the prizes to give. and giving the prize-giver-owner full perm items is going to be a problem (especially with the fiddly inner and outer permissions and blah blah blah), plus there could be a problem or mistake in resetting the permissions for the people getting prizes.

is there a way... to, say, be able to have the group members do a drop inventory to a grand-prize-giver, and have that be able to give prize winners everything in one simple folder? if its a group-deeded item maybe? or would that make things worse?

there isnt, is there? :/

what alternatives are there? i did think of a low-tech solution of just giving prize vouchers out that can be manually redeemed from different store owners.... but that might be a few hundred folks. eep!

there has to be something elegant and simple... i hope!?

I do not see the problem.

LlAllowInventoryDrop, http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlAllowInventoryDrop, allows for all users without modify permissions to add inventory items to a prim.

Only allowing groupmembers to add stuff should be easy with LlSameGroup, http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlSameGroup.

Giving everything in a folder can be done with LlGiveInventoryList, http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlGiveInventoryList.

Or just have the author give no-copy items, no-mod items.
