Uh... I'm pretty sure we've ALL used Amazon S3... unless I'm sadly mistaken, that's where the SL client is downloaded from.

I believe it's also where the data is hosted for world.secondlife.com/<insert category>/<insert key>
I don't know what type of plans they have, but I'd assume with that load, they have a decent system going
