Crashing a sim?

I've seen a couple of references in threads to the idea that it's possible to crash a sim, and I got the impression that it's related to scripting.

I don't want to upset any neighbors as I learn how to script, so what do I have to watch out for to avoid any risk of this?

Thanks,

sw

At this point, you'd probably have to be trying to crash a sim.

I wouldn't worry about it, but the Wiki has some insightful advice. ;)

Not neccesarily. An early weapon i made has a tendency to crash even the most powerful servers when attacking a Sion shield over extended periods of time. The rezzers on that shield just drain the processes until there's merely a shriveled corpse left of the sim..

Yeah there are still ways of doing it but it's much harder. I wouldn't worry about it unless you are rezzing lots of prims or playing with lots of physical objects.
