That's a good solution. If the destination is directly above the TP pad, the config would be like this:
Roof=<0,0,10> assuming the floors are 10 m apart. Cheers Jeff |

The llSetSitTarget is subtracting curent position so it still requires it to be in sim coordiantes. To use relative coordinates use CODE
The reason for retaining Sim Coordinates was that its easier to get them than it is to calculate relative ones. |

Right, thanks Newgate. For this case though, the config needs to be relative since the building will re-rez with different coords.
So, since TP is relative by default, remove the part that subtracts the current location and it should be good. Dragger, if you don't get any offers ingame, IM me and I'll set you up for a small fee. Or if Newgate beats me to it with a freebie, good for him! |

Forgive me resurrecting a rather old thread, but I find myself in a similar dilema as the OP. I do not know any scripting and so searched here for a ready made teleport to use with in my home - got tired of hitting my head when I jumped up! So this seemed perfect. I must have misunderstood however, because when I created a prim and dropped this script above into it, I received several errors. Are there adjustments I would need to make and I simply do not have the knowledge at the moment to even determine where my mistake is? Thanks for your help.

The script part is after the
CODE and before the. Do not include those two lines. Also sometimes the forums inserts spaces into words so check that also. |

If that doesn't sort it out for you, copy/paste the errors into your post so we get a clue what's going wrong.

Well - I ran right over and copied and pasted the script again into my little "object" minus the php references - it compiled nicely - it gives me an option to teleport when I stand on it... and that is all.. just the option - I didn't go anywhere...

If I may, what does the /php and php stand for? Thank you. Those are BBCodes, like Quote or URL. If the forums were working correctly it would make the LSL code format correctly (with tabs, etc). However, LL has disabled most of the BBCodes on the forums for some upgrade to the forums that hasn't occured in like 2 months now. |

Thank you - I thought it looked familiar as that is the only code I have readily employed when posting to forums and such.

I couldn't find anything like this so I built it. I'm a big believer in open code-sharing, but this one took quite a while get right so I'm offering it as a product right now. It's a house control panel that comes with "location cones". Place the cones where you want them and then tell the control panel to read them to set the teleport positions. Lot's of features - including privacy shades also controlled by the panel. You can try it out at my shop to see if it's what you're looking for: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Puzo/191/25/44/. Touch the box or select 'info' from the panel's menu for a notecard detailing all the menu options. Of course - I'll answer any questions. I'm also available for custom work if desired.

Change the initial values of ud, ns and ew to set a different destination. |

Wanted to come back and again express my thanks! After trial and error I got the distance and directions coordinated and it works beautifully! Thank you so much for sharing - If I can ever be of help, look me up.

Problem Solved- For a While
07-29-2007 17:12
The floor to floor that Dustin Widget provided was excellent- although when moving a house to a new position (rotated) the n-s e-w throws the tp off- is there a way to position from the tp forward and backward and left to right rather than north south east west?

With this script below, would it be possible for someone that wouldn't mind, to script me a menu that asks you if you want to teleport to two different locations? I'm still getting used to scripting menus.
I will send you a local tp script in world. Here is a copy. CODE

Amaranthin, even easier, you could go to NCI kuala and pick up the freebie TP disks, copy/mod and maybe transfer too. You can resize and texture them, and it gives you instructions on setting up the coordinates.
Tho it sounds like you're real close now with the script. <edit> oh sorry didn't see that you solved it! |

So could anyone script me a menu that gives options to teleport to different areas?
