Hi,
I have a HUD that I plan to distribute. I would like the HUD object itself to be "modifiable" by the people who receive it, so that I can alter the object name etc programatically.
I would like the HUD to be no transfer. Also I would like the scripts to be no modify/no copy/no transfer.
I am confused that when I open the object the next owner sell/give away button is both selected and greyed out!
This must be simple to do. Help please!
Thanks in advance

ok, on the general tab after checking mark for sale, click in the let them copy button (not that you will leave it this way) this will highlight the resale/give away buttton which you can then unclick and then unclick copy. One caveat you know that you reduce your market by not allowing anyone to purchase your item as a gift for say their partner or any friends when you diss-allow give away or resell? As for the script, right click and go into properties and set perms the same as you would for any object. Hope this helps

From: Ray Musketeer One caveat you know that you reduce your market by not allowing anyone to purchase your item as a gift for say their partner or any friends when you diss-allow give away or resell? That depends. No copy items, particularly attachments or clothing, are a pain in the arse to deal with when you switch outfits or avatars a lot. You reduce your market by not allowing the owner to copy the item. Personally, I almost never buy attachments that are no-copy unless they're really specific to one outfit I might want to wear them with. Animations, same, I *never* buy no-copy animations (made that mistake once, won't make it again), but I'm happy to buy no-transfer ones. The only way to not reduce your market is to offer both copy/no-trans and trans/no-copy versions. Either alternative alone will cut you off from some customers.
