Hello all,
I noticed the other day on the newbie Island that there is a dancing machine. When you touch it, it cycles you through a variety of dance animations. I assume that all of those animations were loaded ahead of time on my machine, and the object is just executing commands to make me do them. But is it possible to have an object actually UPLOAD an animation( from a BVH ) as part of a script?
Thanks much for any advice, Billy

Upload? As in from a coumputer? No. If you mean precaching, I think that's done automaticly when it animates you. BVH files aren't huge.

Yes, I meant upload from a computer. What I'd really like to get at, is something that continually reloads an animation from a continually changing BVH file on my computer.
But that isn't possible with the scripting system?

It just might be possible when the alternate clients are further developed since even now an animation can be played locally or globally. If played on your client only you would be able to see it (even though your client would have down loaded it from the server), but a global one would definitely need to be run from the server.
