I have been working on a script using the Linden engine for an auto and I got the steering working very well. I have driven on many of the SL roads. However, the problem is hills and slopes.
When I drive up a hill or sidways on a slope the physics engine seems to take over and just pushes the auto where it want it to go. My steering has no effect at all when this happens. I have tried several things to stop or dampen this, but none of them work.
I tried setting the angular engine friction. I tried using the land contour to increase the angular engine for steering. And many other less notable codeing changes to get some control when on a hill.
Has anyone gotten a script working that lets a vechile drive up a hill or across a slope? Does anyone have an idea how to get the vehicle under control in these circumstances?
