Is there a way, when you give away or sell something, to give only partial modification rights (eg, ability to change only the colour and/or texture). Also how do you hide information in the edit box (eg. Under Object, the size details).

From: Zena Tiki Is there a way, when you give away or sell something, to give only partial modification rights (eg, ability to change only the colour and/or texture). You can make it no-modify, which prevents subsequent owners from editing the object directly via the client editor controls, but include scripts which will make alterations based on user input, i.e. "verbal" commands, dialog menus, or even a HUD controler object if you really want to get fancy. From: someone Also how do you hide information in the edit box (eg. Under Object, the size details). See above.

Thanks for that - but I have seen prims/objects that let me modify (partially) through the edit option also hide selected details as well - must admit I have never checked to see if they have scripts in the contents - that would be a good start.
I can see what you say about starting from a base of no-modify and then scriptingt exceptions. Hmmmmmmm
