I have gotten mixed results using llDie() and No Copy objects. sometimes it works, other times it fails. Why?

(Its not a syntax error - sometimes the object just won't go away.)

How strange.

I see it work all the time on DarkLife, where some rewards are delivered via an object that's no-copy, and it llDie()s after delivery.

Post the experiment so we can repeat it?

Tokin' Joints are sold "no copy", and I've never heard of one failing to go away.

I certainly hope not, because my dope dealing days would be gone if the weed didn't go away when the joint was finished.

IF you have the object attached to your avatar it won't delete. You can still use llRemoveInventory to remove the script from the object
