I noticed my home sim was running slow today. Very slow, considering there was only 1 other person in the sim. I rezed a few test scripts and found Dari to be running at 450 fps, and a time dilation of under .6 On server sim253.agni.lindenlab.com
I was wondering if this is normal, or abnormal fps, dilation, or if any one know what sim253 hardware would be.
I noticed some one recently purchased a large portion of the sim, and is now using rent-o-matic stalls for each little rental home he's added to the land. I was wondering if any one has some experienced with the script, and how sim intensive it is.
Are there any tool I can use to firugre out what's going on? Like memmory used per owner, or number of scripts per land owner, extra? sim free memmory?

you can try to find a tool called finder belt, its able to detect active scripts (active scripts arent always a source of lag but they are eating more processing power than passive one, again its not an exact science).
globally try to look for objects that use listeners (respond to voice commands)
that have sensor repeats (av detectors, security scripts)
contain timers (blinking hovering text scripts, prims that change colors all the time, vendors that spin trough items alone)
look for physical objects too
thats my 2 cents

450fps is pretty fast... the 0.6 dilation is bad though...

LL should remove SimFPS from being displayed there. It's way too easy to misread, and it is grossly inaccurate. The only two figures you can trust are:
1 - Time dilation 2 - Run Tasks
Prehaps a warning of this should be displayed when you hit ALT+1 for the first time since install...?

LL are supposed to provide some tools to help users find source of lag in next versions (which one, I don"t know). In the meantime... though luck I guess

what we need : ability to highlight sensor objects and see the shape of the detection field ability to see what objet are listening (like a color) and a blink when the listen is triggered ability to see the timer pulse of scripts (like a blink each time the timer tick) ability to see hovering on objects the timeslice script use ability to see memory use of a script withoutnhaving to script a llsay()

450 is a good, solid number.
0.6 time dilation means that when you move, it's like moving through jello. This is bad.
The "fastest" way of finding the source of this problem (which is most likely a physics object stuck inside another object) is to turn on your Object Beacons and fly around looking for something with a yellow beacon. There'll be several of them, and they'll appear every time you walk too (where your feet collide with the ground), but look for something that's yellow and centered ever so slightly on the inside of a solid object.
Then either remove either of the offending objects.
