Okay Macs and PCs are different.. my PC has a Insert key and my Mac doesn't. Scripting is unbearable on my mac. Does anyone know how to turn off TYPEOVER on a Mac? It's gotta be simple, but I've searched and I can't find it referenced anywhere.
Please help!!

happened to me as well... simply klick on your «help»-key on the keyboard - this toggles typeover/insert

Also.. and this may sound really dumb.. have you considered buying a cheap USB PC keyboard?
it takes a little getting used to, but as far as I remember, it's an option. Same goes with "PC" Mice.. go get a cheap 3 button wheel mouse... the OS nowadays is smart enough to understand that right click = option-click (or was it alt?)

actually, it's CTRL-Click to get the right-mouse-button... but since we've got the «mighty mouse», we actually do have (sort of) a right mouse-button as well (the mouse still has just one surface, but it detects on what side the finger clicked) - pretty sophisticated, huh? As for the keyboard - some keys are indeed missing - but one gets used to it. And I actually like the mac keyboards a lot... good quality
