well the title basically says every thing...
a friend of mine and me, are opening a club, and we got every thing setup so far...
yet 1 thing is missing, if any random person would want to walk over the stage, he/she could do so... (we dont want that...), we want that only our dancers are able to walk on the stage/use the dance poles....
all others even dancers with the wrong group active to be booted of the stage and be placed a few metters away formt he stage.....
if you can provide me with a script like i just said, you could contact me in SL,
eighter Mira Lemuria or my friend: Kainam McAlpine...
were both form europe, so if im not only just leave a PM!
thank you!

You will only annoy people if you insist on such a thing.
fact is, if someone decides to sit on the stage they can just do so.
My advice: parcel off the stage area and set access permissions for group only. That should take care of half the problem.

Most big club use scripts to bounce people.
Dividing the land and setting perms is not a good idea either.
1. Affects your popularity. 2. From memory that will cause the dreaded lines for anyone not in the group.
Mira, sent you an IM.

sub dividing the land, usinga sensor and llEjectFromLand, and having a little sign might work... personally I wouldn't want customers that got mad about getting bounced of a stage with clearly posted rules... obviously they think they have some special status that allows them do as they please and others be damned.... that said make the stage bigger than the sub divied land so that people can sit on the stage edge during off times.

I'd say then make the land the square that fits around the individual stages, and limit the sensor/eject combo to the stage size... I heard stage and thought something a bit bigger..... like a band could play on. ymmv but I still hold my above belief that if a person can't respect rules and gets mad about it being enforced, they aren't likely to respect other simple social rules and you really don't want them there

we just dont want those kind of people, and if they do, well we'll be hanging a sign warning about it, if they crosspass it, dont follow the rules, its bye bye

Wouldn't it be possible, if you make a prim (i.e. a cylinder or a cube) and make it transparent and set a script in it to check for colision detection?
If the person collide with that prim, a check is made to see if he belongs to the same group as the prime. If he belong to the group, let him pass, if not bounce him.
I'm not sure if a phantom object can receive collision events.

My friend Buckaroo Mu makes such a script, and it works very well. It's not offensive at all. Check his profile.
