hi everyone.

i was wondering, does a vendor prim or object keep the money in is given, or does it send it off to the owner, or does SL actually handle the latter instantly?

It's essentially instantaneous.

The vendor isn't actually given money itself at all. It just gets wind of the fact that the owner was payed an amount of L$ THROUGH IT. Objects cannot (yet?) hold L$. All they can do is keep track of how L$ are passed between agents in a limited fashion (oh, and if granted the appropriate fashion they can hand out L$ directly from the owner's account).
