I've been designing clothes and now want to make some furniture but I am in need of assistance as far as obtaining scripting and poses. I've been to a few shops but I cannot add them to my furniture for resell. Am I missing something here?
Another question, let's say i made a custom jersey for someone but everyone wants that jersey, is there a script that payout a residual on every sale to a person i specify? As if I sell a jersey with his/her permission for L$50, a $L5 payout will go to that person?

If I make a customer something "Custom" I would think that they would not want you selling to others. Because of that, I would charge them more for it, or ask if they mind that I sell it to the public. That's just my ethics, and I would not impose my values on anyone.
Having said that, let me address your other issue. Selling things like clothing and textures is not something I have done a lot of, but I know some people who do that quite a lot. Generally what they do is they will model their clothing, and take photo snaps. The snapshots will then be taken to Photo-Shop, Paint Shop Pro, or some other image software so they can add their advertising and add text to say whatever they need. They then make a prim, put the clothing in the prim and apply the enhanced photo of the clothing on the outside.
You can then sell the box. For that you may need to rent a store, or get some land and sell from your house/store.
There are also free vendors you can get so you can have multiple sets of the clothing in a single vendor.
As you explore a bit you will sometimes see vendors that you can pick up for free. Sorry I do not have an example of one at the moment. When I'm IW send me an IM and I will do what I can to help you. You can also script the vendor so that you can distribute your incoming money to others who may have helped you make your goods available. Look at the search function and you will see some here. I hope this helps!

Yes I agree and understand everything you have written. At this point, i've been designing and selling clothing and also have 4-5 shops around SL. As for the custom clothing, the specifics of it wouldn't of caused a problem ethically if i decided to sell the item, because any one else can make the same item at any time, it was that well known. He just wanted to be the first around his people to have it.
Now as the subject in the initial post says, now i am interested in making furniture. Furniture with poses (lounge, lay back, adult interactions, etc...) and what I was asking is whether if everyone i have seen selling these beds, made the poses themselves or did they obtain them from someone who does animation, I bought some poses for a project i was doing but i couldn't link them to the bed so when i wanted to pack it up, i wouldn't have to reposition them again. I know about reselling items, that's why i'm asking is there someone or someplace that sells scriptings and poses for those who want to sell furniture.

Ah, yes, the poses and animations are ones that I have not made any attempts to do anything with yet. I am waiting on someone I know to make some animations and then will not have that problem. Sorry to cop out on you like that, but I can't be of much help there.

your reply did give me some ensight on how to deal with customers who want a personally made item that is basically not actually personal, ie micheal jordan or brand name etc... a lot of my customers want those brand names that they see in real life and it is hard to call them custom but to them they want to be the only one to have it. But I explain to them that demand drives any business...lol

There are a handful of free poses and anims that you can add to objects. Try doing a find places on "free" and go look in the shops that come up. You might want to ask the creators for permission or read the documentation before you put them in commercially traded furniture, but I think as long as you are selling *furniture* and not the poses themselves, it's generally ok. Just double check that the ones you've chosen are ok to use in commercial ventures.
I'm assuming your link problems stem from mod permissions on the pose objects you've been trying to use, and not from any misunderstanding of how to link, on your part, but if I'm wrong, there are "how to link things" tutorials at the Ivory Tower of Primitives. (Do a find places for Ivory Tower.)
Hope that's useful.
